What is pelvic organ prolapse?

Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) occurs when internal organs – like the bladder, uterus or bowel – shift out of place and press into the vaginal wall.

It’s common. It’s uncomfortable. And it’s often overlooked.

Too often, the solutions offered are outdated, painful, or impersonal. At EV3, we believe women deserve better – products that prioritise comfort, autonomy, and quality of life.

    • I had a hysterectomy to help with prolapse but 5 or so years later it all came back… Investigated pessaries and only offered rings or gel horn… GP said I needed largest ring which kept falling out.

    • I’m experiencing a moderate prolapse and it is hugely distressing… It’s incredibly disappointing that there are so few options for this condition… Surgery is a medieval approach.

    • The vaginal pessaries women were given were often disliked and thought to be uncomfortable and ineffective.

    • Many women describe pessaries as rigid, painful, and outdated. They’re often forced into trialling multiple sizes with no real customisation – just to be told, “This is your only option.”

    This flexible, mouldable pessary allows patient-controlled insertion and management. It’s reusable and will reduce patient waiting times. The app also offers peer support, reminders, and advice, as well as appointments as needed.

    Surgery is the only other alternative, which is expensive, poses risks and complications and a 30% reoperation rate.

    The UK will be our initial market, followed by expansion into France and Germany, and then further expansion into Australia and the USA.
